Starting with the obvious, solar panels generate power from the sun to power our homes and everyday business operations, the result is that while the solar system is generating power and we are using appliances or electrical goods, we use that power and thus don’t buy from the energy retailers, if we aren’t using the power then we sell the remainder to the energy retailer and receive a credit to our monthly or quarter bill.
